Violator

Violator is Spawn’s oldest and most deadly enemy. He appears to be a fat, psychotic clown—dangerous enough in his own right. However, he’s also a powerful demon from Hell, and can revert to his true form whenever serious carnage is called for.

As this three issue mini-series begins, however, Violator has been stripped of his powers, his feet encased in concrete, and mobsters were about to dump him into the lake. But for a former demon of Violator’s caliber, these are merely minor obstacles. What follows is a horrific, bloody, but strangely engrossing (and sometimes funny) story. Violator runs from mobsters, “the Admonisher” (a gun-crazy parody of the Punisher), and his fellow demons.

This series features a great script by Alan Moore, as well as striking art by rising star Bart Sears.
