Mizuki Shinohara is a freshman in college who is as innocent as he is beautiful. One night on his way home from a modeling job, he catches the eye of an older man who introduces himself as Kazuomi Honjyo, “a homeless businessman.” Almost immediately, the handsome Kazuomi propositions Mizuki: if Mizuki would be so kind to give him a place to stay for the night, Kazuomi promises “a night of ecstasy you will never forget” in return. The first volume of this manga follows Mizuki and Kazuomi as their one night stand grows into a long lasting relationship that neither was really expecting.

This debut work by Futaba Aoi and Kurenai Mutsba is an example of one of the more controversial subgenres of manga: yaoi, or boys love. The term “boys’ love” was coined in the late 1990s and is an umbrella term that categorizes professional manga stories that feature romantic and sexual relations between males that are aimed primarily at a female audience.
