Original Sad Sack

    (Lorne-Harvey)
™ and © Lorne-Harvey

The Sad Sack originally appeared as a regular feature in Yank, the Army Weekly. Later, it became a Sunday newspaper feature and became a long-running Harvey comic book called Sad Sack. Sad Sack started in the Army, but left it for a time, returning for good in Sad Sack Comics #22. The stories became longer and were written and drawn by other artists such as Fred Rhoads. This one-shot appeared much later and featured reprints of the original stories done in pantomime by series creator George Baker.
