JLA: Destiny

This Elseworlds tale shows us the repercussions of a world where a young Bruce Wayne, brutally murdered before his father’s eyes, never becomes Batman. The same world also never experienced the integrity and honor of Superman. In this world, the villains are more powerful, more confident, and more organized than the ones we are used to, and their destructive rampages go mostly unchecked. In this world, the motto Might Makes Right has become a fact of life, even among the ranks of the Justice League, where, increasingly, the supposed heroes have become just as dangerous as the villains they fight.

Is there room in this dark world for the “normal” hero, the courageous men and women willing to risk their lives for what they believe in despite their lack of special powers? And if not, what kind of world does that leave for the rest of us?
