Superman: The Last God of Krypton

    (DC, 1999)
™ and ©1999 DC Comics

On ancient Krypton, the sun god Rao fought a war of ice and fire against Cythonna, the evil goddess of the frozen void. Imprisoned for millennia, Cythonna is freed at last, but senses that a spark of Krypton has escaped the planet’s destruction. Now she seeks out the spiritual descendant of Rao, the man who draws his strength from the Earth’s yellow sun.

Bent on revenge, Cythonna travels to Metropolis, blanketing the city in a snowstorm in July. Her goals are simple: breed a new race of wild elementals with Superman, destroy the Man of Steel, and turn the Earth into a frozen wasteland. Can Superman, even with the help of Lex Luthor and Lois Lane, stop the goddess?
