Eight years after the events of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, Luke Skywalker has successfully begun the rebirth of the Jedi. Amidst the ruins of Yavin’s fourth moon, he has trained a group of young warriors in the ways of the Force and they are almost ready to go out into the universe as the protectors of the New Republic.

Princess Leia receives a short and urgent call from the experimental mining colony on Corbos. The New Republic’s fleet is still in shambles, but they cannot ignore the plea for help. She asks Luke to send some of his trainees to investigate. Something has been found buried deep in the ground there… something large. And the lives of thirty families may only be the first blood drawn.
