Fighting American: Dogs of War

In a Baltimore warehouse, Fighting American breaks up a deadly transaction between expatriate Russians and Iranian terrorists with deadly measures of his own. Figures hiding in the shadows wait to play their part in this bloody tableau. In another reality, one could be Sharon Carter and the other Nick Fury. This version of the Captain America substitute, (written by Jim Starlin) is more than ready to use deadly force, which sets him far afield from his template.

This is the third mini-series featuring Rob Liefeld’s version of an obscure character originally intended as a humor title. The sales strategy of publishing a number of short series rather than one ongoing title may prompt extra sales due to continual “first issue” enthusiasm, but for indexers, it is another item to catalogue that is not substantially different from its predecessor.
