Monsters, Inc.

The city of Monstropolis thrives on the screams of the kids. The monsters of Monsters, Inc. work to scare them every night, and the scariest monster of all is James P. Sullivan, otherwise known as “Sulley” to his friends and co-workers. He and pal Mike make a great team, journeying to the closets of children all over the world and collecting screams; and all is well until a human child finds her way into Monstropolis, threatening the city’s power supply, as well as Sulley and Mike’s jobs. Keeping track of the kid and trying to thwart a rival’s nefarious scheme occupy the better part of this tale that is equal parts charming and hilarious. The comic book adaptation is not as fluid as the Pixar film, but it is a nice reminder of a thoroughly enjoyable cinematic experience.
