Absolute Zero

    (Antarctic, 1995-1996)
™ and ©1995 the respective creators

In the tradition of Dark Horse Presents, this quarterly anthology from Antarctic Press features short stories and serials told in stark black-and-white. And as DC Comics has done with Showcase ’95 and Showcase ’96, this title uses the talents of new, or relatively unknown, creators.

Some of the characters introduced include a pair of adventurous girls on the trail of a mystic gem, a grunge rocker who may or may not be the Greek goddess, Athena, and a family of demon-fighting pseudo-hippies. And a day at the beach takes a disturbing turn for Chris P. Bug, when he falls prey to the seductive wiles of Martha Mantis.
