Lobo: Death and Taxes

    (DC, 1996–1997)
™ and © 1996 DC Comics

When Ramona’s lover runs off to become a Mambo-King, he takes every credit she’s worth with him. With the galactic IRS threatening to melt her down for back taxes, the beautician/bail-bondswoman is reduced to calling on Lobo for help. Of course, the “Main Man’s” idea of help is usually worse than the problem you started with.

The intergalactic bounty hunter has changed a lot since his first appearance in the pages of the Omega Men-he’s bigger, badder, more violent, and generally in greater need of a bath than in his early days. But being the ultimate bad boy has made Lobo extremely popular. Besides his own ongoing title, he’s starred in several mini-series and one-shot specials, had a long stint in L.E.G.I.O.N., and has guest-starred or had a cameo in virtually every other DC title over the years.
