When Magneto’s orbiting citadel, Avalon, crashed near the Andes Mountains, his loyal devotees gathered debris and erected a shrine. Meanwhile, in the desolate arctic, another citadel called New Avalon thrives, supervised by Magneto’s greatest disciple, Exodus. He plans to launch his fortress in an attempt to mirror the accomplishments of his absent mentor regardless of the worldwide destruction this event may cause.

Having no memory of his past deeds as Magneto, an unassuming man called Joseph decides to pretend to be the man he once was in order to dissuade Exodus from his precarious course. Can this absolve the guilt that Joseph feels for deeds he no longer remembers, or will it have even greater consequences for the new-found serenity of the man who was once the X-Men’s greatest foe?
