There’s little to distinguish Archie’s Jokebook from any of the other long-running Archie titles—it’s essentially just another series of one-page gag strips featuring Archie, Jughead, and rest of the Riverdale gang. The only real difference lies in issue #41’s artwork from one Neal Adams, a young man getting his first break in professional comics, and who one day would become a comics legend. Those humble first panels, however, show little of the trademark style that would place him in the ranks of the comics greats. Then, as always, it was harmless gags, done in as near to Archie house style as always…
