Joe Simon and Jack Kirby, best known as the creators of Captain America, created this horror comic for Prize Comics in 1950. It dished up the usual brand of science-fiction, fantasy, and horror tales full of ghosts, aliens, and assorted strange phenomena. Black Magic is perhaps best known as home to the first published work of Steve Ditko, who would cut his teeth on countless horror and monster books before going on to shape the early Marvel Universe.
