Star Trek: Starfleet Academy

The lucrative franchise that Star Trek has become engendered another comic book sharing that popular universe. Starfleet Academy is distinctive from most of the other titles because it is not tied to a television show and therefore can feature new characters and situations without the usual constraints from Paramount that accompany titles based on the TV series.

This title features the exploits of the Omega Squadron, comprised of a Ferengi, an Andorian, a Klingon, a Vulcan and a human (Matt Decker, who provides a familial connection to the original series and the first movie), and is an eclectic collection of expendable cadets.
