Crossroads is where the various characters of First Comics meet each other. In a series of deluxe-edition books, Jon Sable, the professional mercenary (and children’s book writer) teams up with mentally unstable crimefighter Badger; Badger hooks up with “hard body” Luther Ironheart, and others.

By using the longer deluxe format, First gives the reader more of a chance to meet the characters and, it hopes, to become interested in them and their respective titles. As a result, the crossovers seem less forced, less gratuitous than the endless “guest appearances” found in the major companies’ titles.
