Neil the Horse Comics and Stories

He looks like something out of an early Walt Disney cartoon, but his adventures are not exactly the whimsical, lighthearted fare kids have grown up on. Neil the horse and all of his various friends, including (for example) a lovely maiden and a clever cat, Soapy (who smokes), stumble through adventures including a trip to France, a battle with the villainous Mr. Coffee Nerves, and even full text adventures in which Neil’s innocence gets, all too often, taken advantage of. Still, the happy-go-lucky horse usually comes out okay of his wide-eyed adventures, just in time for another one.

Issues typically include several short adventures and cartoons, and even a paper doll set of characters running on the back covers.
