Suppressed!

    (Tome, 1991)
™ and ©1991 Starlen Baxter

Suppressed! starts on a strong note, comparing the truth to the American mythology of Columbus’ expeditions and the Pilgrim’s first years. From there, however, it seems to lose its focus as a debunker of popular “history,” and instead turns into a motley catalog of “bad things” that happened somehwere over the course of the last two hundred years. In the end, Suppressed! comes off more as a hit piece by a curmudgeonly amateur historian, as opposed to a thoughtful dissection of the big events in American history, and how the popular legends sometimes fail to live up to the facts.
