Born and bred as a “trophy wife” for a rich businessman, Caryn Delacroix is almost genetically incapable of being unhappy. Now Caryn is not just unhappy, she is terrified. She dreams each night of a strange creature who stalks her through the floating airship which has been her home. Cornered at last, she wakes up screaming.

In the wake of Aliens: Earth War, Montcalm Delacroix took to living in his floating city in the sky. That way he felt he would at last be safe from the terrors of the Earth. But all too soon his sanctuary is invaded—not from below, but by a Predator from the stars. Now his—and Caryn’s— worst fears are becoming reality.

The tag team-sounding title of this series doesn’t do justice to the gripping, well-developed story within. Written by Chris Claremont of X-Men fame, Aliens: The Deadliest of the Species is a first–rate thriller.
