A movie shoot on Easter Island was rudely interrupted when one of the huge statues fairly exploded, releasing a wizened man who had been trapped inside for millennia. The man was known as The Ancient, and he immediately traveled to Hollywood where he appeared before Robin, a young street urchin. With a wave of his hand, she found herself garbed in a warrior’s costume, and had her destiny revealed to her. She had become the Maximage, the most powerful sorcerer on the planet. Of course, the power came with strings attached—the most urgent being the obligation to save the Earth from the ancient space gods who had returned to destroy it.

Maximage is much like a “bad girl” version of the King Arthur legend, with The Ancient substituting for Merlin, and the suddenly buxom Maximage filling the part of King Arthur.
