Marvel Action Hour, Featuring The Fantastic Four
(Marvel, 1994-1995)
™ and ©1994 Marvel Entertainment Group, Inc.
In 1994, the Fantastic Four and Iron Man were given their own animated series…again. This time the animation was splendid and the stories were comprehensible. And like almost every super-hero with a cartoon series, (i.e. Batman Adventures, X-Men Adventures ) they also got a comic book series to accompany it.
This series did differ in some ways from its cartoon contemporaries. The art was drawn in standard comic style, rather than the minimalist cartoon style that many other series utilized. The series also stayed as close as possible when it came to the stories, and even retold the origin of the super-group.
Readers of the series could always expect to see one of the many villains in the Fantastic Four’s rogues gallery, as the cartoon featured mainly classic FF enemies.
