Green Lantern: Emerald Dawn II

This series is a sequel to the blockbuster Green Lantern: Emerald Dawn mini-series. That series was a sort of “Green Lantern: Year One,” showing how Hal Jordan went from being a washed-up pilot to becoming one of the world’s great super-heroes. Still, there were gaps in that story which Emerald Dawn attempts to fill, including the question of how novice Hal Jordan went to jail for 90 days for drunk driving, and came out a fully-trained super-hero.

In Emerald Dawn II, it is revealed that during that time, he was trained on the sly by none other than Sinestro. In those days, Sinestro was considered a valued member of the Green Lantern Corps, respected for his devotion to serving the cause of order and his efficiency at getting things done. During the events chronicled in Emerald Dawn, however, Hal Jordan would begin questioning the Corps, and Sinestro begins undergoing the changes that would eventually turn him into Hal Jordan’s greatest enemy.
