Shepard Svenson likes to be prepared for situations. He maintains a high level of physical conditioning for the unusual rigors of the workplace and sharpens mental alertness for the situations that always occur on the job. The motto: expect the unexpected. It’s apropos considering his occupation is a bodyguard who wears biomechanical armature and, if necessary, is licensed to kill. Enter Samantha Stone. She needs protection in the worst way and Svenson is her best chance for survival. Complicating the job is a long overdue reunion with his absentee daughter Rory. Svenson has only seen her from a photograph delivered in an envelope. In due time, Svenson will find himself wearing two hats: bodyguard and father to two young girls, and responsible for their collective welfare. No one said being a dad was easy.
