Alien Legion (Vol. 1)

The Alien Legion is an interplanetary police force force of sorts. It could be likened to a mix between Star Trek’s Starfleet Academy and The Green Lantern Corps.

The series focuses on a squad containing seven different life forms from planets that span the galaxy. Just a bit smarter (or luckier) than the rest, the squad’s members are the only ones to survive a terrible massacre which killed hundreds of Legionnaires. The squad is comprised of Torie Montroc III, Sarigar, Jugger Grimrod, Durge, Meico, and Torqa Dun. As with most of the Alien Legion squads, this one must deal with underlying racial tensions in the squad as well as the expected enemies it is sent to battle.

Marvel editor Carl Potts created this first Alien Legion series in 1984. Epic would later publish a second Alien Legion series in 1987.
