This collection of science fiction shorts focuses on the ultimate futility of Mankind’s very existence. The lead story details the total annihilation of a golden society at the hands of the brutal savages they considered so far beneath them. Another depicts the alien domination of Earth through the clever use of fast-food hamburger joints. In yet another charming tale, a man lost in space thinks he has discovered paradise when he finds himself on a planet where his every thought becomes reality…right up to the moment he wonders if he might be dead.
