The Superman/Madman Hullabaloo

    (Dark Horse, 1997)
™ and ©1997 DC Comics, Mike Allred, and Dark Horse Comics, Inc.

This Superman crossover is so unexpected and bizarre, that it could only be told by Madman creator Mike Allred. By coincidence, both heroes investigate a mysterious phenomenon on the edge of space. From separate realities, and completely unaware of each others’ existence, they simultaneously journey to the phenomenon, which is some kind of dimensional gateway. The heroes are caught in the vortex at the same time, and the strange energies somehow merge their physical attributes before finally spitting them out again. Unfortunately, not only have their bodies and costumes been mixed and matched, they’ve each been sent to the other’s dimension.

To make things worse, Superman’s powers have been divided between the two heroes, but each of them seems to only have about one eighth of his abilities. As they both work separately to get back home, each wonders what happened to the other three quarters of his power…
