Physicist Noah Carpenter spent decades trying to genetically engineer radiation-proof humans. With the advent of nanotechnology in the 90s, he was finally successful in mating radiation-resistant bacteria with human DNA. The results were more than even he had hoped for.

Sasha, Stag, Zoe, and D.C. were the first test subjects of this experiment, and became collectively nicknamed Angels, short for American Nuclear-tolerant Genetically-Engineered Lifeforms.

These four have been intensely trained, and are equipped with the best weapons and tactical devices the government has to offer. They have been honed into an elite covert fighting force, and are expected to respond whenever the government calls. There’s just one thing the Feds sometimes forget: the Angels are still just kids.
