This mini-series in color from Adventure returns to the beginning of Rust’s story, which tells how officer Scott Baker died and was floating in a pool of liquid rust at a local salvage yard. Somehow his body absorbed the rust, and formed a cocoon of metal from which Scott was reborn as a shambling hunk of living metal. What has always made the character special is how very human he seems—searching for a semblance of normal life despite his very bizarre appearance.
