Bloom County

Loose Tails is the first collection of newspaper comic strips that reprints the popular Bloom County by Berkeley Breathed. Bloom County was the forerunner to Outland and the later Opus comic strips. Though originally dismissed as a Doonesbury rip-off, Bloom County quickly came to its own with its wild and zany cast of characters including Steve Dallas, Opus the Penguin and Bill the Cat (Breathed’s vicious answer to Garfield) and their wacky goings-on. The book is published by Little, Brown and Company.
