The Rocketeer Adventure Magazine

    (Dark Horse, 1988-1989, 1995)

This series has had, perhaps, an overly interesting publishing history. The character first had a home at Eclipse in 1984, then moved to Comico in 1988, where the first two issues of this series were published. In classic cliffhanger style, it went on hiatus until Dark Horse revived it later with issue #3 in 1995.

The third issue picks up where exactly where it left off six years earlier, finally wrapping things up. Betty has left Cliff Secord and went to New York. In an attempt to salvage a dying relationship, Cliff follows his true love. Once in New York, Cliff, as usual, gets into more trouble than he can handle, which causes him to have to don the jet pack and helmet once again and fight crime as the Rocketeer. This time, the enemy is an evil magician’s assistant named Lothar.
