Most teenaged girls go through changes. But not everyone goes through the kind of changes Heidi Paige did, waking up one morning to find her hair blue and the ability to control electricity at her fingertips. In body if not in mind she’s suddenly a super-hero, and her best friend encourages her to use her new powers—she has to, otherwise the homecoming dance will be ruined! It seems she’s not the only one with strange new powers, as her classmate Jack has some too, and he’s not guided by the same moral code as Heidi. Complicating things is the fact that his brooding good looks have Heidi in love with him….

Powers, sidekicks, romantic troubles, and high school…sounds like reruns of a hit TV show featuring a vampire slayer.
