Lara Croft, the beautiful, brilliant, and often baleful archaeologist who makes Indiana Jones look like one of the Junior Woodchucks, is out to recover the stolen Pendant of Cleopatra. The ancient talisman is said to be the source of Cleo’s irresistible power over men, and Lara has had first–hand experience that the stories are more than just fables. When the pendant’s unchecked power threatens to start a mob war, she enlists the aid of Jackie Estacado—part–time Mafia hitman and full–time wielder of the supernatural Darkness. Unfortunately for her, she discovers just a tad too late that his womanizing personality makes him a sitting duck for the medallion’s charms…

The story includes a cameo by Sara Pezzini, aka Witchblade, and the issue’s lead story, a reprint of The Darkness: Prelude originally released in 2003 in conjunction with Dynamic Forces, examines Jackie’s unique brand of Justice.
