Visions of Curves

It’s published by Eros Comix, so it doesn’t take a genius to figure out what curves artist Todd Borenstein is envisioning. Borenstein’s singular talent is drawing the female form, and it’s on display throughout this brief mini-series. Though mostly a collection of pinups and sketches, it also features several short stories, focusing on such things as a beautiful journalist in a bubble bath who encounters an alien, and a pair of fisherman who hook a voluptuous mermaid.

Whether it be story or sketch, it’s strictly a showcase for Borenstein’s women, who are by turns cute, sexy, and exotic—all qualities he hopes to create in his art. By and large he’s successful; the man can certainly draw women. And unlike many pinup books, these are not just curvaceous bodies, as faces, too, get equal attention. Black and white.
