Ribit!

Ribit was created by a female sorcerer named Sahtee. Ribit was a lizard and a pet of Thong, who is Sahtee’s aide. Thong is a good-natured fat man who constantly wishes for a woman to love. Sahtee decided that they must do battle with an evil army and take back control over their kingdom. One night, Sahtee prepared a magic brew that would create a warrior woman. She believed that a warrior woman would be less conspicuous to the enemy and would easily infiltrate the opposing force’s base. Just before the ceremony, Ribit jumped into the brew and emerged as a green warrior who loves Thong. And as it turns out, Ribit is more than a match for her evil enemies.

Ribit! was a four-issue mini-series created, written, and illustrated by comics great Frank Thorne. The series was printed in full color and began its run in January, 1989.
