The Lazarus Pits

    (Boneyard, 1993)

Boneyard Press, having mastered the art of shock horror, now turns its attention to adult sex/horror in this adults-only one-shot. The title refers to a “specialty whorehouse” where the customers can exercise vices too extreme for any other such venue. The Pits were first seen in the summer of 1992’s Devil’s Bite, where serial killer Jonathan Gabriel took up residence as one of the staff.

By the time of this story, Gabriel is quite mad. He services the customers desiring pain, and works the camera while the staff shoot snuff films for Texas Oilmen. Gabriel has also taken a special interest in a woman he calls “the Schoolgirl,” whom he desires to make his own. It’s an obsession steeped in debauchery and death, leading all involved to their inevitable doom.

Despite the graphic cover and content, there is more to be horrified of than to leer at in the Lazarus Pits.
