To be more accurate, this three-issue limited series should be entitled: “Before the Fantastic Four: Ben Grimm, Logan, Tony Stark, and Carol Danvers,” as it features several key players in the modern Marvel Universe in their early days. Test pilot Ben Grimm (a.k.a. the ever-lovin’, blue-eyed Thing), Canadian secret agent Logan (a.k.a. the claw-wielding Wolverine), and Department of Defense operative Carol Danvers (a.k.a. the mighty Avengers’ Warbird) take an experimental spy plane into Russian airspace to get the skinny on some mysterious Soviet technology. Espionage at its finest from the House of Ideas.
