This riveting collection of stories mixes classically narrated horror with more modern science fiction. The black-and-white drawings of the Day brothers are dark and brooding, while still achieving a high level of detail. Their art maintains their own distinctive quality with each story, but still complements the style of each individual writer.

While this series from Caliber Press is meant to be a showcase for the artistic ability of the Dan, David, and Gene Day, the stories themselves are well scripted. Obvious effort seems to have been put forth to find writers whose abilities would add to the visual impact of this monthly magazine.
