The Outer Space Babes (Vol. 3)
(Silhouette, 1994)
™ and ©1987 C.J. Henderson. Art ©1993 Silhouette Studios, Inc.
This isn’t a book you should judge by its cover…or even its title. True, the heroines are “five luscious ladies blasting off with the fate of the world in their tapered, well-manicured fingers,” but the book has far more heart than the typical cheesecake-fest.
Their “babes”’ story began when scientists encountered a force in space that kills only men. Five accomplished women were sent into space to eliminate this enemy. They triumphed, but instead of a heroes welcome, the government sent another ship, led by a man named McDavid, to steal their credit—as well as cover up their role in the initial threat. McDavid had intended to make the women into his own personal harem, but once again, the women proved unstoppable. They stole McDavid’s ship, and, after battling space pirates, decided to pursue their own adventures in space. But, for reasons of comfort (and sales), they seem to prefer doing so clad in lingerie…
