Stranded on a secluded island after their undercover operation goes sour, two government agents find themselves the guests of a mysterious scientist and his beautiful daughter, Emma. Reminiscent of H.G. Wells’ Dr. Moreau, the good scientist is dabbling in DNA research of questionable morality, with Emma as his primary subject. But is the lovely and charming young lady, apparently able to transform into a deadly spider-like creature, really responsible for the grisly death of her father’s assistant, or is their an even more frightening monster on the loose?

This “all-ages” reprint of Mike Wolfer’s original Widow: Flesh and Blood series reintroduces the sexy arachnoid, setting the stage for the Widow: Metal Gypsies title.
