Climax

    (Gillmor, 1955)
™ and ©1955 Gillmor Magazines, Inc.

Daring tales of villainy and intriguing mysteries make up this collection of short stories, with emphasis on the familiar adage that “crime doesn’t pay.” It seems that no matter how well-planned and devious the scheme, the bad guys always get what they really deserve. The hook of this particular comic, however, was an ongoing contest where the readers were invited to solve a two-page mystery. The four best entries received a $25 prize in war bonds.
