The Teen Titans

In The Brave and The Bold #54, Robin, Kid Flash, and Aqualad banded together to fight the threat of Mr. Twister in a seaside town. Although not officially known as The Teen Titans yet, the group proved popular enough for a second try-out and then their own series.

In addition to the founding trio the early line-up also included Wonder Girl, and Speedy. Over the next few years other members came and went through the Titans’ ranks, including Hawk and Dove, street kid Mal Duncan, the Joker’s daughter, Harlequin, and the original Batgirl

Featuring art by Nick Cardy, the series went on hiatus in the early ’70s, was revived for a short run in the later 1970s, and revamped as The New Teen Titans in the early 1980s.
