Cheeky Angel

Gender–bending is the basis of this teen-oriented series. Like a Twilight Zone morality–tale–turned–manga for young girls, Cheeky Angel is every macho high–school kid’s nightmare. Megumi was a thug who wanted to be the manliest male on the planet; unfortunately for him, a genie misunderstood his wish and turned him into the cutest girl on campus. Otherwise tough and masculine men now find themselves completely head over heels in love with him. Creator Hiroyuki Nishimori doesn’t hold back on the violent tendencies of male youths, giving Cheeky Angel more punch than such a goofy plot would suggest. The humor is often incisive, poking fun at male pride.
