Tarzan: The Beckoning

    (Malibu, 1992-1993)
™ and ©1993 Malibu Comics Entertainment, Inc.

This seven-issue mini-series finds Tarzan and Jane living in San Francisco and trying to halt an illegal ivory poaching operation. The poachers commissioned a “hit” on Tarzan, but this was not the end of Tarzan’s problems.

Tarzan was also the victim of Loc, and African trickster-god who cast a spell on Tarzan which gave him violent hallucinations. In an attempt to find the source of his troubles, Tarzan flew to Africa, followed soon after by Jane. They discovered that Loc’s goal is to force Tarzan to open an interdimensional portal in Africa. Unless they can stop him—as well as the assassin who stalks their every move—both the tribes of Africa and the entire world will be in grave danger.
