Mort the Dead Teenager

Mort Graves was a loser in life. He was the sort of guy who borrowed his parents’ car and doused himself with cologne in order to impress women he had absolutely no chance with. His family and friends weren’t exactly stellar achievers either. No, Mort led the depressing life of the average teenager. That is, he did until the day he ran his dad’s car into a train while trying to impress the class bombshell. Now he’s an equally depressed dead teenager.

Mort is a ghost now, consigned to limbo because hell was full-up with politicians, lawyers, and people who hung up on answering machines—and heaven was closed for repairs. He’s been sent back to earth to haunt his family, but all they care about is whether he’s going to want his room back or whether he’ll gross out his sister’s new boyfriend. It seems that Mort learned the hard way that being dead is like being a teenager: nowhere to go, and it seems like it takes an eternity to get there!
