Harrison and Louden Reed are adopted brothers—one champions animal rights while the other exploits the animal kingdom for wealth and renown. But their connection is much deeper and much more ancient they know. Long ago, Earth was a paradise, and humans and animals lived in harmony. Bu humanity desired more. No longer content to live among the beasts, Man wanted to rule them. The gods did not approve however, and so created champions to lead the animals—Nakuru and Sabyri—and banished man from the jungle. Nakuru became the ruler of the beasts, the mighty cat-god, who eventually left the care of his kingdom to his sons, Tswana and Tare. Tswana ventured away from the animal realm and into the world of man, while Tare ruled through violence and fear. Eventually, Nakuru banished both his children into Man’s world, where they would be reborn over and over until their prophecy is fulfilled and they realize their true history and return to the jungle. Good stuff from the mind of Hollywood makeup and special effects wizard Stan Winston.
