Scott McCloud is a writer/artist famous for his work on the independent comic book series, Zot, as well for his critically acclaimed book, “Understanding Comics.” In 1995, he released this minimalist gem, a collection of self-published mini-comics. The sets were available at conventions and carried a $4.00 price tag. The comics were sold in a printed envelope and each had a different title.

“Fifteen Faces In Charcoal” was exactly what the title claimed it was. “Birth Of A Nation” contained humorous cartoons about the early days of The United States. “Fun With Phonics” was a collection of comedic cartoons about sounds. “Some Words Albert Likes” featured the title character as he talked about objects like squeegees. “Another Little Epic” told the story of approximately five million years in eighty-four panels.
