9

    (Tegopoulos, 2000-2010)

9 was a weekly Greek comics supplement published by Τεγόπουλος (Tegopoulos) from 2000 to 2010, created to bring the “ninth art” into mainstream Greek households.

It debuted in June 2000 as part of the Eleftherotypia newspaper and ran for a full decade, ultimately producing 513 regular issues.

The magazine mixed international and Greek talent, featuring renowned creators such as Manara, Bernet, Boucq, Quino, Geluck, and Druillet alongside prominent Greek artists like Derveniotis, Zervos, Leandros, Kyriazis, and Vitalis. Its format consisted of stapled comic book–style issues with color covers and a blend of color and black‑and‑white interiors, covering genres from humor and sci‑fi to noir, adventure, and slice‑of‑life. Initially distributed on Wednesdays and later moved to Saturdays in 2009, *9* became a culturally significant gateway for comics readers in Greece during its ten‑year run.
