This Elseworlds series is an elaborate “What If…” scenario. Namely, what if Superman, while being sent as a baby through space toward Earth, were diverted by malevolent forces to a different world instead. That world was Apokolips, where the baby Kal-El was taken in by the evil Darkseid. Once grown, the baby became—not the familiar defender of truth, justice, and the American Way—but an almost all-powerful knight only too-willing to serve his dark master’s wishes.
