Ivanov’s Beeldroman

    (Heisterkamp / Ivanov-Castrum, 1964-1990)

Ivanov’s Beeldroman was a digest-sized weekly or biweekly comic magazine featuring melodramatic romantic stories aimed at a female readership. Each issue was printed in black and white with soft covers, and often carried titles like Liefste red me (“Dearest, Save Me”) or Rumoerige Liefde (“Turbulent Love”). The series was part of a broader European trend of serialized romance comics and was distributed across the Netherlands and Belgium.
