South Vietnamese knock‑off Batman publication was an unauthorized local adaptation produced during the Vietnam War era, likely around 1966–1968. It blends American superhero imagery with Vietnamese storytelling, printing styles, and pulp‑fiction tropes. They were printed in South Vietnam, not the North. They were unlicensed, locally produced adaptations, part translation, part reinterpretation, part original storytelling. Many copies were sold cheaply in Saigon bookstalls and street kiosks but did not carry a VN$ (South Vietnamese Đồng) price tag that has been found from existing copies.
