Batman and Robin Adventures is the successor to The Batman Adventures, and is DC’s companion to the Fox television series, Batman: The Animated Series. It would be a mistake to dismiss Batman and Robin Adventures as a “kid’s comic,” even though it is written and drawn in a simpler, less convoluted style than Detective Comics, Batman or Legends of the Dark Knight. to better emulate the look of the animated series. Unlike those titles, this book is often upbeat and affirmative. The stories portray a Batman, who though secure and confident, is a complex, intelligent man. This is a non-continuity book, (Dick Grayson is still Robin, however he wears the Tim Drake costume), but the stories contain all the elements of the Batman legend and is a fine introduction to the mythos if your only exposure to the character has been the movies or the TV series.
